Hit-and-run leaves teen in hospital

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Buffalo Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that left a 16 year-old boy injured.

The incident happened just before 12:40 a.m. Saturday.  Police say the teen, who is from Buffalo, was struck by a vehicle as he was attempting to cross Kensington Avenue.

The victim was was transported to Women and Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver initially left the scene of the accident but did turn himself in a short time later at the E District station house on Bailey Avenue.

The male driver was issued a summons for leaving the scene of an injury accident.
