BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Erie County SPCA says a person has been charged in an animal cruelty case dating back to last November.

“Capone,” a 5-year-old pit bull terrier, was found in an apartment at the Langfield complex in Buffalo on November 27 after police received a tip about an extremely emaciated dog. Now, nearly three months later, SPCA investigators say a person has been charged in the case.

Kenya Black of Collins Walk has been charged with one count of animal cruelty. Black is due back in court on February 26.

Last month, after making a full recovery, Capone was adopted to a loving home.
