Ex-boyfriend allegedly violates order of protection

NEWSTEAD, N.Y. (WIVB)- A man was arrested for allegedly violating an order of protection placed against him by a former girlfriend. The incident happened on Valentine’s Day according to New York State Police.

Police say 29-year-old Scott L. Blair, of Newstead, tried to contact the woman several times by phone at her residence in Clarence. There has been a no contact order in place since 2013.

He was later charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony. He was arraigned in Newstead Court and released on $500 bail. He will appear in Town of Clarence Court at a later date.
