Two county workers injured in crash with drunk driver

SILVER SPRINGS, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two Wyoming County employees were injured following a two-vehicle crash involving an alleged drunk driver.

Deputies were called to Cummings and Perry Avenue in Silver Springs for a two-car accident around 5 p.m. last Wednesday. Their investigation revealed 49-year-old Mark Rowley of Pike attempted to turn left onto Perry in front of a vehicle driven by two on-duty Department of Social Services employees.

Rowley was arrested and charged with DWI and failure to yield the right of way.

The two county workers were taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital for treatment. They were later released.
