Baron a finalist for Cousy Award


Canisius senior point guard Billy Baron is one of 24 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award, given to the nation’s top point guard.

Baron is third in the nation this season, averaging 24.6 points per game, along with 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists. Yesterday, he earned the Lute Olson National Player of the Week honor for the second time this season, plus MAAC Player of the Week honors.

You can vote for Baron at – fan voting runs from today through Monday, March 10th. The 24 finalists will be narrowed to just five in early March.

The winner will be revealed as part of Final Four weekend.
