Man with suspended license arrested after caught speeding

COVINGTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – State Police say a man whose license has been suspended eight times was arrested after troopers pulled him over for speeding.

On Monday, troopers stopped 26-year-old Jason Barnhart of Batavia for allegedly going 73 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on Rt. 246 in the Town of Covington. A check revealed Barnhart’s license has been suspended eight times for failing to answer previous traffic violations.

Troopers placed Barnhart under arrest on charges of speeding and second degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

He was taken to the Wyoming County Jail on $200 bail.
