Salamanca School Board to make decision on principal

SALAMANCA, N.Y.(WIVB)- The Salamanca School Board will make a decision on the future of Principal Chuck Crist, Wednesday morning. Board members will decide if they want to appeal his exoneration.

If they do appeal, the case could go before the State Supreme Court, at which time the records, previously sealed, would become public.

Crist has been on paid leave since November 2009 while the state looked into claims of wrongdoing.

During that time he collected between $300,000- $400,000 in salary. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
