HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – OSHA is investigating after an employee at the Ford Stamping Plant in Hamburg suffered burns in a workplace accident.

Initial reports described the incident as “an explosion” but OSHA tells News 4 it was an unexpected release of hot hydraulic oil – not an explosion. One worker suffered burns as a result of the accident.

OSHA began investigating the incident on Tuesday and will be working to determine whether any workplace safety standards were violated.
