FEMA funds will help keep Lake Shore Hospital afloat

IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) – FEMA is releasing $805,490 to the TLC Health Network, which will help the company keep Lake Shore Health Care Center open until a buyer can be found, Senator Charles Schumer’s office says.

On Friday, the senator’s office announced that FEMA is releasing funds already approved to reimburse the hospital for two project worksheets related to the TLC-owned Tri-County Hospital in Gowanda.

Senator Schumer says the funds can be used for operating costs at Lake Shore Hospital while TLC navigates Chapter 11 bankruptcy and works on securing a buyer for the health care center.

FEMA is also committed to releasing funds from a third project worksheet, bringing the total of new money flowing into the TLC Health Network to over one million dollars.
