Man arrested over handwritten letters sent to jail

Here's a great find for us this year. It's the first time in the 'Taste' for Papi's Family Restaurant, 690 Hertel Avenue (right across from the Post Office). Owner Railly Betances is shown here with his nine year old daughter, Jessly, and the enthusiastic crew from Papi's. Everything they served tasted like award-winners- Roasted Pork, Spanish Rice with Green Peas, Chicken Empanadillas, and (non-alcoholic) Pina Colada Slushies.

WARSAW, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man who wrote letters to his girlfriend while she was in the Wyoming County Jail has been arrested.

Deputies took 46-year-old Lynn Wilson of Silver Springs into custody on Wednesday and charged him with three counts of second degree criminal contempt.

After a domestic violence incident, an order of protection was issued barring Wilson from contacting his girlfriend. Deputies say Wilson was mailing her handwritten letters while she was behind bars in the Wyoming County Jail.

He’s due in court in March.
