CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A fundraiser for the fight against blood-related cancers sold out Saturday night.
Samuel’s Grande Manor in Clarence hosted the black tie dinner known as the Diamond Ball.
The Ball raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
More than 700 people attended, coming to see long-time volunteer Norm Orlowski receive the Service to Mankind Award for his dedication to finding cures.
“I’ve got so many great memories of the things I’ve done with the society, the different fundraising events, the friends I’ve made, the people that just give so much to the society I’m just honored that they even thought about me,” Orlowski said.
News 4′s Jacquie Walker served as emcee for the event. She is a past recipient of the Service to Mankind Award.
