Clarence, Jamestown advance to AA finals

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Section VI, Class AA championship is set in boys basketball, with Clarence and Jamestown both advancing to Saturday’s title game.

Jamestown overcame an early deficit to take care of Lockport 69-58. Zach Panebianco scored 26 points, while Colin Dougherty put up 26 for Lockport.

Clarence held off Williamsville North in the other semifinal matchup at Buffalo State, winning 49-39. Ryan Funk scored a game-high 20 points for Clarence, while Sterling Taplin’s high school career came to an end with an 18 point effort in the loss.
