Joe’s tops Timon for Msgr. Martin title

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – St. Joe’s broke open a scoreless game with a pair of goals in the second period, then held off a late Bishop Timon rally for a 4-2 victory in the Monsignor Martin championship.

Nicholas Zenger got the Marauders on the board, then Connor McKenna added another for the 2-0 lead. Bishop Timon answered, when Jack Robinson fired a shot into the net late in the second period.

After Joe’s took a 3-1 lead, Timon again answered to cut the lead to 3-2 with less than one minute to play. Joe’s would add an empty-netter, though, to preserve the win.
