BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Ryan Miller flew in to Buffalo around noon today, completing his trip from Sochi. Tomorrow night, he’ll be back between the pipes as the Sabres’ starting goalie against Carolina.
Miller played one game for Team USA in the Olympics, but the massive time zone difference will be the difficult part to overcome.
“Maybe it’ll be like playing at 4am in the morning for them,” said Sabres interim head coach Ted Nolan. “Hopefully he has at least some sleep, and he’s somewhat awake at that point.”
The Sabres host Carolina Tuesday night at 7pm.
