Sweet Jenny’s looks to take over historic watermill

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Sweet Jenny’s has submitted a proposal to take over the historic watermill in the Village of Wikliamsville.

Currently, the village is using grant money to repair and update the structure. Once renovations are complete, they will be looking for a buyer. Sweet Jenny’s is the current tenant and the owners say they would like to stay put.

Howard Cadmus said, “The building makes it exciting and the residents make it exciting, and the possibility of keeping it safe. We consider ourselves, at this point, kind of like young preservationists. We do also have two other shops, so that makes it our third shop. So that adds its own wrinkles and details.”

The village is accepting plans for the watermill for another month, but so far Sweet Jenny’s is the one proposal submitted.
