Miller shines as Sabres top Canes

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – If this was Ryan Miller’s last start as a Sabre, he’ll at least end on a high note. Miller made 36 saves and added a pair of assists, leading Buffalo past Carolina 3-2.

Christian Ehrhoff scored a pair, with Tyler Ennis adding a goal of his own. Ehrhoff’s second strike came with less than a minute to go to give Buffalo the lead for good.

Carolina out-shot the Sabres 38-18 in the game, but Miller kept them in it.

“He made some huge saves for us,” said Ehrhoff. “He was our best player again tonight. It wasn’t our best effort, it was sloppy at times… a little rust coming off the break, probably.”
