Ontario distracted driving fines skyrocket

ONTARIO, CANADA (WIVB) – Starting March 18, the Ontario government is hiking the fine for distracted driving to $280 – that’s up from the current fee of $155.

The Ontario fine is one of the highest in Canada.  Although Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland drivers can face fines of $400 for texting while driving.
