Probation for woman charged under Leandra’s Law

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Jamestown woman was sentenced Tuesday for aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law.

Barbara Swan-Flores was sentenced to 60 months of having an ignition interlock device and five years probation for aggravated DWI and endangering the welfare of a child.

In September 2012, the 45-year-old woman crashed her Dodge Dakota pickup truck into a parked vehicle on Prendergast Avenue. She had a 12-year-old passenger in her vehicle and tried to flee the scene. Jamestown Police boxed her in and placed her under arrest.

As part of her sentence, she will also have to pay a $1,000 fine.
