Emaciated dog ready for a new home

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – An emaciated dog found during a drug raid in Buffalo is now ready for adoption.

The Erie County SPCA says Lady has been revived and did well in her behavior evaluation, despite her long starvation period. When she was found at a home on Waverly Street on January 31, she was emaciated and had tumors.

The SPCA recommends Lady go to a home with children over the age of 13 so that each member of the family can continue her behavior modification program, which includes learning to manage how she eats food. And because Lady is older than 10, her adoption fee will be waived.

If you’re interested in adopting Lady, call the Erie County SPCA at 875-7360.

Three men and a woman at the home where Lady was found were arrested and charged with drug possession, weapon possession and animal cruelty.
