Nichols stuns Canisius in semifinals

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – After spending the entire season as one of – if not the best – team in Western New York, Canisius’s run came to an end tonight, with Nichols knocking the Crusaders out in the Monsignor Martin semifinals 57-50.

Nichols moves on to face Bishop Timon in the Manhattan Cup finals Sunday at 6:30pm at Canisius College. Timon topped St. Mary’s tonight, winning 65-61 in overtime.

In the Section VI, A-2 semifinals tonight, top-seeded Amherst survived a scare against 4th-seed Lewiston-Porter, with the Tigers winning 51-49.
