Miller expected to start Friday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – In what could be his final appearance with the Sabres at First Niagara Center, Ryan Miller is expected to start Friday night against San Jose.

Miller is on the trading block, after Sabres GM Tim Murray publicly said he is seeking a “proper trade” for the team’s long-time goalie.

Speaking after practice today, Miller weighed in on his time in Buffalo, saying he has a “deep love for the city in my heart.”

“Don’t want to miss an opportunity to say thank you,” said Miller, talking about the fans.

He said he was trying not to be too sentimental, but it didn’t work, with Miller telling a couple of his favorite stories involving fan encounters today.
