Sabres rally late, top Bruins in OT

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Sabres scored in the game’s final minute, then again in overtime Wednesday night to take down Boston 5-4.

Matt Moulson – who took a double-minor penalty earlier in the third period, leading to a Milan Lucic power play goal – redeemed himself with a game-tying score with less than a minute left in regulation.

Early in overtime, Matt D’Agostini out-hustled Zdeno Chara to the puck, then scored the game-winner for the 5-4 victory.

Zemgus Girgensons, Tyler Myers, and Brian Flynn also scored for Buffalo.

The Sabres host San Jose Friday at 7pm to wrap up the three-game homestand to kick off the post-Olympic portion of the schedule. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
