Woman accused of East Aurora bank robbery

EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two people have been arrested in connection to a bank robbery in East Aurora, Wednesday afternoon. Police say a woman entered a Bank of America, on Main Street, and demanded money.

Police say 25-year-old Ashley Reardon was located and arrested while on foot near Main and Pine Streets.

Reardon is charged with third-degree robbery and petit larceny. Police say she may be responsible for bank robberies in Hamburg and Orchard Park also.

Police say they stopped a pick-up truck that matched the description of a vehicle leaving the scene of the robbery, on Lawrence Avenue in the Town of Aurora. The operator, 43-year-old Louis DiFlavio Jr., was also taken into custody.

DiFlavio was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
