BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Milder temperatures made conditions more bearable for the people who took part in the 2014 Shamrock Run in Buffalo’s Old First Ward.
The 2014 edition was warmer, less windy, but slightly more snowy.
This marked the 36th year for the run. Runners might hear loud Irish music, or wear crazy costumes along the route.
“Everything is done by and for the Old First Ward Community Association. We raise the money for our organization to provide after-school programs, senior programs, we also do housing and community development for the city, state and the county. We are small but mighty and this race keeps us alive,” said Laura Kelly, director, Old First Ward Community Association.
