BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Hundreds of volunteers spent part of their weekend putting together bouquets, which are being sold to support Hospice Buffalo.
Many of the 32,000 bouquets being assembled have already been sold, with the rest going on sale starting Wednesday, March 5 at florists, hospitals, and public buildings in Erie County.
“This event really started with all the florists in western New York, that started 28 years ago, raising money to support our Hospice Program, and what I would encourage people to do is go out to your local florist, buy a bouquet. It’s a way for you to help support this organization that does such important work in the community each and every day,” said Patrick Flynn, President, Hospice Foundation of Western New York.
Small bouquets sell for $8. The sale, in its 28th year, has raised over $4.4 million since its inception.
