TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Neighbors will be talking about the future of the Huntley Coal Plant. The Clean Air Coalition is holding a public meeting to talk about a recent report that says the Town of Tonawanda facility should close, or be overhauled.
Huntley is one of New York State’s last remaining coal-fired plants. It employs about 70 people.
Monday night’s meeting is at 6 p.m. at the Grand Island Memorial Library. There are also meetings March 6th at the Northwest Community Center and March 13th at Tonawanda City Hall. Those meetings are also schedueld
