Parking attendant alerts deputy to alleged drunk driver

CONCORD, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Erie County Sheriff’s deputy was alerted to a drunk driver by a parking attendant at Kissing Bridge as he was arriving to conduct a check during a snowmobile event.

The deputy left the ski resort to try to locate the vehicle and caught up to the driver on Rt. 240. Authorities say 44-year-old Brian Taylor failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC of .24 percent – that’s three times the legal limit.

Taylor was previously convicted of DWI in 2006 in Amherst, elevating his charges to felony aggravated DWI.

He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center on $750 bail and is due back in court at a later date. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
