Senecas buy potential casino site land in Henrietta


The Seneca Nation of Indians has taken another major step in expanding casino operations into the Rochester area.

The Seneca Gaming Corporations announced it has officially acquired 32 acres of land in the Town of Henrietta, as a potential site for future casino.

The 32 acres of land is on Clay Road, which is in close proximity to the I -390 and Jefferson and E. Henrietta Roads.

No development plans are in place but the Senecas are hoping to build an entertainment complex including a casino, hotel, restaurants and a retail space.

The Seneca Gaming Corporation operates Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in Salamanca and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo.
