Williamsville teen to appear on Jeopardy

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 16-year-old from Williamsville could probably beat most adults at any trivia game. Ananya Manja is a sophomore at Williamsville East High School.

She has a full academic schedule, is on the swim team, and plays the oboe in the school band. But lately, she also spends time preparing for the Jeopardy teen tournament.

Manja said, “We’d been watching since I was very young, in our house, and so I took it, and I think a couple years after I qualified for my live audition and I took it a couple times after that, and this time I qualified for the actual thing.”

Ananya will spend four days in L.A. next month to film the show. The grand prize winner gets $75 thousand, which she says she would use for college. You’ll be able to see her on the show this summer.
