Man from Rochester suburb charged with WNY bank robberies

GREECE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man from a Rochester suburb has been arrested and charged with robbing banks in Depew, Cheektowaga and Monroe County.

Joseph Cumbo of Greece was arrested early Monday morning by detectives from Depew and Cheektowaga Police, FBI agents, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies, and Town of Greece Police. Authorities say the 34-year-old is responsible for three bank robberies.
