Event to honor anniversary of Civil Rights Act


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Wednesday, Buffalo Common Council President Darius Pridgen will be the keynote speaker at an event honoring the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

It’s taking place Wednesday afternoon at the Erie County Court House. The Colored Musicians Club will perform.

The Civil Rights Act was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson on July 2nd, 1964.
