Good Saturday from Meteorologist Mike Cejka:
A weak moisture starved cold front will drop southward through the region today with just some limited precipitation, most of it will be in the form of snow showers. As cooler air returns during the afternoon, any precipitation will be in the form of a few flurries. Quiet weather prevails overnight into Sunday, though clouds will start to increase during the afternoon. A warmer southerly wind will increase by later Sunday, into Sunday night. A wind advisory may be issued for portions of the area as winds could gust up to 45 mph across the hilltops and Erie lakeshore southwest of Sturgeon Point.
Another weak weather system, will possibly squeeze out a few raindrops or mixed precipitation Monday, again nothing big here. The next storm of consequence will come Wednesday, Wednesday night and into Thursday. Both the European and domestic long-range computer forecast models have seemed to come into better agreement on the path of that storm taking it across Virginia Wednesday night. On that path a lot of our region will just be brushed by some snow showers or light snow, however areas south and southeast of the metro could see some “shoveable” snowfall out that storm. Your 4Warn team will keep you updated on this.
