Library announces logo design contest winner

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – More than 130 high school students submitted original artwork for the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library’s “Love Your Library – Library Awareness Month” logo design contest.

Josie LoVallo, a senior from Williamsville East High School, was the overall winner. Her design will be used in a special campaign during the month of April to promote Library Awareness Month. LoVallo was rewarded with passes to the Albright Knox and Burchfield Penny Art Center, a gift bag of art supplies, and a gift card to Target.

Each of the runners-up received a tote bag with a drawing pad, note cards, books and passes to Burchfield Penney Art Center.
