Gertie’s ready to re-open after Valentine’s fire


CLARENCE CENTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – More than two weeks after a fire closed a popular restaurant in Clarence Center, Gertie’s is ready to re-open.

A fire on Valentine’s Day caused around $20,000 in damage. An employee tells News 4 that since then, the restaurant has been remodeled. A new bar has been added and the dining room has been expanded.

The restaurant’s first day back in business is March 7 and doors open at 11 a.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
