Man arrested day before graduation from drug court

MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A day before a man was set to graduate from drug court in Monroe County, he was arrested on charges of bringing crack cocaine from the City of Rochester into Orleans County.

Luke Lawhorn was arrested Thursday on four counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. In a year-long investigation, the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force identified the 27-year-old man as a drug dealer who was bringing crack cocaine into Orleans County from Rochester.

Authorities say Lawhorn was due to graduate from Monroe County Drug Court on March 7 for a 2011 drug arrest in the City of Rochester.

Instead of going to his graduation ceremony, Lawhorn is locked up in the Orleans County Jail on $25,000.
