Pair accused of stealing, torching car

LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – Lewiston Police arrested two people late Wednesday night they say stole a vehicle and then set it on fire.

Officers were called to the 2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road around 11 p.m. on reports of a car on fire. After investigating what took place, police arrested a 19-year-old man and charged him with third degree arson, criminal possession of stolen property and reckless endangerment of property.

A 23-year-old woman was also arrested on charges of criminal possession of stolen property.
