BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Tony Capobiano’s record-setting night led Canisius to a 3-0 win over Sacred Heart to take the lead in their Atlantic Hockey tournament best-of-three first-round matchup.

Capobianco became the Griffs’ all-time leader in both saves and shutouts in the victory.

Shane Conacher scored the first goal of the game, with his older brother, Sabres’ forward Cory Conacher in the crowd. Tyler Wiseman and Kyle Gibbons found the net as well.

These two teams will hit the ice again Saturday night at 7:05pm at Buffalo State, with the Griffs trying to advance. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
