Students evacuated from Cuba-Rushford Elem. School after threat

CUBA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Students at Cuba-Rushford Elementary School had a frightening morning as police rushed to the building while responding to a threat.

School officials say they received a “low-level unconfirmed threat” and enacted their evacuation plan, both for safety as well as for practice. Students were taken to Elm Street, where they continued their classes.

After police cleared the building, students returned to the school. The entire incident last around two-and-a-half hours.

So far, no arrest has been made in this case.
