Several Buffalo landmarks lit Blue for Ben

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Several Buffalo landmarks were lit in blue for a 4 year-old Clarence boy who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.

People at The Chapel at Crosspoint have been spreading the word through social media about Ben Sauer.  In January he got headaches, and after multiple doctor visits it turned out he has an aggressive tumor.

A campaign of Blue for Ben began, recognizing how Ben’s parents distinguish him from his identical twin brother by dressing him in blue.  To publicize it, operators of the Central Terminal, Electric Tower and Peace Bridge each agreed to light their structures in blue Saturday night.

The Chapel at Crosspoint hosts a fundraiser for Ben and his family Sunday starting at 4:00 p.m. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
