House majority leader to speak at Daemen

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – House Majority Leader Eric Cantor will be in town Monday, to speak at Daemen College’s new Distinguished Leaders Lecture Series.

Cantor, from Virginia, has been in Congress since 2001. According to Daemen College’s website, Congressman Chris Collins will be introducing Cantor.

Daemen launched this new lecture series last month. It’s designed to bring top government and public officials to the school to talk about the issues facing our country. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
