CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Cheektowaga woman who was convicted in 1996 of embezzling $120,000 was sentenced Monday for again embezzling money, this time from two businesses.

Marilee Leach admitted stealing $52,000 from Harbour Place Marine Sales between 2007 and 2012 by writing checks to herself. And between 2011 and 2012, the 60-year-old bookkeeper stole $39,000 from Acqua Restaurants and Banquets using various underhanded methods.

Back in 1996, Leach stole $120,000 from Belmont Management/Belmont Construction and served one year in federal prison.

On Monday, she was sentenced to one to three years in prison for the most recent embezzlement.

Leach has paid back most of the money she stole.
