ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Bills are bringing back kicker Dan Carpenter, signing him just after free agency officially opened this afternoon.

Carpenter, who signed with the Bills after an injury to rookie Dustin Hopkins, ended up having a very strong season. Carpenter matched a Bills record with 33 field goals. His 131 points are the third-most in franchise history.

The question now becomes, where does this leave Hopkins? The team drafted him in the 6th round last year out of Florida State.

Buffalo also re-signed tight end Mike Caussin, who has spent the majority of his time in Buffalo on the sidelines with injuries. Caussin has five catches for 41 yards with the Bills. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
