Bills agree to terms with LB Rivers

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Bills stayed busy during the blizzard today, agreeing to terms with free agent linebacker Keith Rivers.

Rivers, a former top-ten draft pick with the Bengals, spent the last two seasons with the Giants, starting eight games last season.

He is perhaps best known as the unfortunate recipient of a blind-side block from former Steelers WR Hines Ward, that broke Rivers’ jaw during his rookie season.

His tackle numbers have been steady throughout his career, but Rivers has not been much of a pass rusher, with just three sacks in 62 career NFL games. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
