Gorski officially announces bid for Cheektowaga Town Justice

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A well-known political figure is back in the game.

Thursday night, Dennis Gorski officially announced his bid for Cheektowaga Town Justice. The 69-year-old Democrat was formally the Erie County Executive, serving from 1988 to 2000.

He was at a fundraiser at Buffalo Iron Works, and explained he wanted to get back into politics after a 14-year hiatus “because my family come from a long history of public service.”

Gorski continued, “My father was a Congressman, my brother was a Supreme Court Justice, I was a County Executive, and giving back through public service had been in our family for a long time.”)

He will face off against retired Buffalo Police detective, Dennis Delano.
