NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A driver who police say took an entrance ramp too fast and crashed was allegedly driving drunk.

State Police responded to a one-car accident on the entrance ramp to the Robert Moses Parkway and say the driver, 38-year-old David Macleod of Lancaster, appeared to be intoxicated.

Troopers say Macleod failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC greater than .08 percent. He was arrested and charged with DWI, imprudent speed and failure to keep right.

Because Macleod has a prior DWI conviction in the last 10 years, his DWI charge in this incident is a felony.
