Buffalo schools take registration into community

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) - In an effort to make sure that all eligible children are registered for the 2014 – 2015 school year, Buffalo Public School’s central registration office is taking their efforts on the road.

This year, in addition to holding registration at the Central Registration Center, personnel will be visiting various locations throughout the city in a registration blitz, March 18th through 27th.

Locations, dates and times include:

Central Registration Center, 33 Ash St., Daily 8 a.m.  – 4 p.m.
The Belle Center, 104 Maryland St., March 18 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Northwest Community Center, 155 Lawn Ave, March 20 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
True Bethel Baptist Church, 907 East Ferry St, March 22, Noon – 3 p.m.
Valley Community Association, 93 Leddy St., March 27, 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Parents or Legal Guardians must have the following to register children for school:

- 2 forms of proof of address (NYS driver’s or non-driver’s license; gas, electric or cable bill; pay stub within last 30 days, Notice of Decision Statement from Erie County Dept. of Social Services)
– proof of birth
– up-to-date immunization records
– parent/legal guardian photo ID
– legal guardianship or custody papers of child does not reside with biological parent
