Buffalo Home Show for 2014 ends

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A popular exhibition at the Buffalo Convention Center has ended for 2014.

The Buffalo Home Show wrapped up Sunday evening.

Interactive seminars, special guest presenters and hundreds of exhibitors drew crowds to the Convention Center over 2 weekends.

The first Buffalo Home Show took place in the mid-1940s.

“The show started after World War II when returning soldiers were building homes and starting families,” said Ellen Carroll, Home Show manager.

The show had plenty for people to see, focusing on ideas for improving their homes.  Visitors could come up with projects for any part of the house.

“Really the whole range of almost anything that you want to buy or have in your outdoor living space or your indoor space,” added Carroll.
