St. Patrick’s Day weekend enforcement yields 6 arrests

ORCHARD PARK, NY (WIVB)- The Orchard Park police department reported Sunday morning that they have made 6 DWI arrests as a result of St. Patrick’s Day weekend enforcement so far.

On Saturday at 3:21 a.m. officers arrested James Geary, 45 of Orchard Park, for driving while intoxicated, operating with over a .08% BAC, improper turn and inadequate muffler. This incident occurred on Orchard Park Rd. Geary submitted to a breathalyzer test which showed a .17% BAC. Geary was released and is to appear in town court in April.

A 3:30 a.m. officers arrested William Anderson, 37 of Orchard Park, for driving while intoxicated on Lake Avenue. He was additionally charged with passing a red light, failure to signal and refusal of a roadside breath screening test. Anderson did submit to a breathalyzer test that showed his blood alcohol level to be almost triple the legal limit at .23%. He was additionally charged with aggravated DWI. Anderson was released after posting $200 bail and is to appear in town court in April.

On Saturday at 10:07 p.m. officers arrested Marc Calandra, 29 of Orchard Park for driving while intoxicated on Abbott Rd in Orchard Park. Calandra was additionally charged with Driving with over a .08% BAC, criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, speeding and failure to yield right of way. Calandra’s blood alcohol level was .17% .He was released after posting $200 and is to appear in town court in April.

On Sunday at 12:20 am officers arrested Michael Burns, 49 of West Seneca, for driving while intoxicated on Faahs Dr. He was also charged with no insurance and driving with a suspended registration. He refused to submit to a breathalyzer test and was released and is to appear in town court.

Early Sunday morning at 3:15 a.m. officers stopped Christopher Boncore, 24 of Orchard Park, on N Buffalo Rd for failing to maintain lane and obstructed view. He was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with more than .08% BAC and unlawful possession of marijuana. His blood alcohol level was a.14%. He was held on $250 bail and is to appear in court in mid April.

At 3:45 a.m. an Orchard Park officer arrested Nikoli Sansone, 23 of W. Seneca, for driving while intoxicated, driving with over a .08% BAC, uninspected motor vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operation on N Buffalo Rd. Sansone submitted to a breathalyzer test which showed a .14% BAC. He was released and is to appear in town court.
