Driver who veered into oncoming lane faces multiple charges

SHELDON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Wyoming County man is facing multiple charges after being stopped Friday in the Town of Sheldon after deputies saw him cross over into the oncoming lane four times on Dutch Hollow Road.

Officers say 22-year-old Timothy Pfarner of Strykersville was driving on a suspended license with suspended license plates, and that he failed field sobriety tests. Deputies say they also found marijuana and hydrocodone in his possession.

In 2010, Pfarner was arrested for DWI, making this a felony DWAI by drugs arrest. He was additionally charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, third degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating on a suspended registration, failure to keep right, uninspected motor vehicle, and failing to notify the DMV of a change of address.

He is due back in court next month.
