Nine arrested for DWI by State Police over weekend

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – State Police working across WNY this weekend arrested a total of nine people for DWI, and five others for various other charges.

At a checkpoint in Wheatfield on Friday, the following people were arrested or charged:

  • Donald Grosskops, 36, of North Tonawanda – for DWAI by drugs
  • Ronald Michlin, 62, of North Tonawanda – for DWAI
  • Kirk Trombley, 42, of North Tonawanda – for DWI
  • Michael Rainero, 54, of Buffalo – for DWAI
  • Edward Hawkins, 25, of Niagara Falls – for unlawful possession of marijuana

At a checkpoint on the Lockport Bypass on Saturday, the following people were arrested or charged:

  • Patrick Farley, 23, of Barker – for unlawful possession of marijuana
  • Stephanie Dier, 29, of Lockport – for unlawful possession of marijuana
  • Jorden Mayne, 31, of Williamsville – for a bench warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation
  • Laura Galluzzo, 28, of Amherst – for second degree obstruction of governmental administration after trying to evade checkpoint to protect her passenger, Jordan Mayne, from being arrested

Over the weekend in Buffalo, Elma, Lancaster, West Seneca and Boston:

  • Jacob Latello, 19, of Lancaster – for DWI in Elma with a BAC reportedly of .17 percent
  • Debra Nye, no age given, of Bennington – for DWI in Lancaster with a BAC reportedly of .16 percent
  • Craig Kempston, 23, of Hamburg – for DWI in Boston with a BAC reportedly of .13 percent
  • Jay Majewski, 43, of West Seneca – for DWI in West Seneca with a BAC reportedly of .09 percent
  • Victoria Cintron, 24, of Lackawanna – for DWI in Buffalo on Rt. 33, additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana

Troopers also issued over two dozen tickets while cracking down on suspected drunk drivers this St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
